Does anybody else think its a shame that live Pink Floyd music is only heard in larger venues ? Are there any bands doing a trib to them in smaller venues such as pubs etc ?
Floyd Tribute
Thats a very good point, the only time i have ever come across anything similar was in a legion club in 1979 in Leicester when i was a boy. In fact that band was one of the inspirations behind my music careerer. May be there is a market for such a band. I am a drummer if anyone is interested in setting one up.
Crash
I love pink Floyd comfortably numb and dark side of the moon are fantastic.
I get some 'Pink Floyd/Roger Waters' comments...although not trying to sound like them at all... and I'm looking to turn my solo stuff into a band, of sorts...

About fifteen yrs ago had an 11 piece Floyd Tribute we Played the theatres but also took the show into Pubs that were big enough Lights sound and sound and lighting engs it was out way of letting off steam without having to worry about a paid show, older now and wonder where I got the energy from to hump all the gear and spend the time setting it all up. got to say got a bit gutty playing the same lines all the time Gilmore could get away with the odd deviation but if I did at the end of the eve always someone mmm "You did'nt play it like the record" so I made up "Well if you watch the 1987 New Jersey Gig". Doing something solo now but will involve a few from the "Darkside" and of course 5am
