I'm not too sure about the worse excuses but I remember an ex member of our band that used to have car trouble strangely before every rehearsal!!

Turned up at a gig in a Leamington Spa pub. No drummer (he organised it) No show. Played the gig without and got paid. The bastard was in Majorca on holiday, then he asked me to join him in a new band. I'll leave you to fill in the answer i gave the prat.

My favourite so far was when our singing texted ' I'm sat in A&E so I may be late ( she was already an hour late ). Walked round the back of Debenhams and a gust of wind blew me into a lamp post and fractured my tibula! ' That was the best of many excuses and it was the one that turned us into a 4 piece.

Our ex bass player . My house and car keys are in my car and my car is locked in the garage . And there we were five minuets before we go on.

Real Big coincidence of seeing this post...The worst excuses we have had were 'I've had an argument with my partner, so I can' t make it'... Also 'Traffic is so bad, I can' t do it, just gonna go home'... Thanks dude!

I was recruited by a drummer for a gig in Soho a few years back. Every player turned up EXCEPT THE DRUMMER. Lol.
