Bassist and drummer needed to join me in blues/rock trio

I've been around a while and never stopped learning, having started gigging in 1974, and I am 74. I am a very good finger picker, and I have played bass at the NEC a couple of times and played electric guitar at Notts Americana, Bulldog Bash, and Brecon Jazz Festivals, as well as loads of pubs around the Black Country and beyond. I have been out of things for a while as I had to nurse my wife for 14 years as she suffered from an incurable cancer. That chapter of my life ended last Christmas and I am just picking up the threads of my life. All the people I worked with are doing things with other folk, so I have to start again, and by the way if you are a guitar player reading this, well maybe we could swap instruments in the second half. That always worked a treat for me in the past. Yes I am into the blues, and not against doing a Hendrix cover, and then odd bits of country too. I'm keen to get down to a rehearsal room and seeing what happens. I'm keen for it to be fun. Do you dig shuffles? Well I certainly do. And you never imagine you are going to be 74. Well I am and I never imagined it either. Talking to my 91 year old neighbour keeps me grounded. He is as sharp as a tack. Me - I am a very good guitar player indeed, and I sing OK. Looking to have fun and a few quid. There is some stuff on line somewhere, but it probably does not represent what I really want to get into. It took me years to get good enough to front a trio, and I am confident I can do it again, and my late my wife told me, "Don't give up on your music." So I have still been doing an hour or two per day over all these years. Get in touch. Let's have a ball.
