Bassist available - serious bands only

Experienced bassist looking to join an established or gigging band. Done with bedroom projects and endless "just jamming for now" situations want something with commitment and a decent rehearsal schedule.

Background:
Playing for 12 years, gigging for 8. Last band did the Leeds/Manchester/Sheffield circuit regularly before splitting up earlier this year. Comfortable on 4 and 5 string, some upright double bass experience.

Influences:
Radiohead, Portishead, The National, Interpol, Mogwai anything with space and atmosphere. Not really into metal or covers bands, but happy to chat.

What I bring:
- Own gear (Fender P-Bass, Markbass combo can bring a full rig if needed)
- PA and van access
- Can contribute to writing not just a hired gun
- Reliable, punctual, no drama

What I'm after:
- Original music with gigging ambitions
- Rehearsals at least twice a month
- Within reasonable distance of Leeds LS postcode preferred but will travel for the right fit
