My favourite genre is Classic Rock, AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Led Zepplin. I like stuff that's a bit more hardcore too. just wonderin if it was just me.
classic rock anyone?
I love all those bands to. I've also been listening to a lot of heavy metal recently.
Hi Rossi I was wondering if you have heard of sleeping with sirens because they're really good and also hoe old are you, because I'm kinda looking for someone who i can talk to about my taste in music and who i can get recommendations from.
I checked them out. They're good but a bit on the commercial side for me personally! I've been listening to megadeath quite a lot. Rust in peace :)
Ok well i havn't really listened to megadeath but i will give them a try :) do you know Slash out of Guns N' Roses? well he has a new band called Velvet Revolver and Duff Mckagan (ex bassist for guns n roses) and Matt Sorum (exdrummer for guns n roses) are also in there with him, they are a really good band. just out of interest, what is your faourtie song/ mine is a toss up between November Rain (Guns N Roses) and Sleeping With Sirens's Iris cover (original by The Goo Goo Dolls).
Yeah I like velvet revolver. Slashes snakepit was a good band also the Ain't Life Grand album is great. Don't really have a favourite song there's so many. My song of the week would be Orion by Metallica!
yeah slash's snakepit was a good band. do you listen to stuff like Asking Alexandria and pierce the veil or black veil brides? i started listening to pierce the veil and they're ok.i can't really choose a favourite song other than the two in my last message because one me and my dad love and the other i feel expresses the way i feel. umm my song of thw week is If You Can't Hang by Sleeping With Sirens.also do you like acoustic stuff?
Yeal I love folky acustic stuff. Not heard Asking Alexandria or pierce the veil or black veil brides. I'll check them out!
i kinda like folk music but i don't listen to it really. i like elvis and johnny cash quite alot too. i know you've already said you're not really into sleeping with sirens but they have really good acoustic session and its just raw no commericialisation music with the band just playing together to create that raw sound. do you have any good bands that u could recomend to me?
I like Johnny Cash. Not into Elvis so much. I'm not sure what other bands you might like that I haven't already mentioned.
what did u vote as your favourite metal band out of the big four on here? I voted for metallica : Do you like indie stuff? my boyfriend likes it but it's a bit too mild for me. and I recently got him into Guns N Roses, Sleeping with Sirens and some Asking Alexandria. do you like Blondie or The Ramones? me and my dad like them.
I voted for Metallica also! Indie is okay I guess. Blondie is good. I've been listening to dark side of the moon by pink floyd a lot recently. Have you listened to that album? I like all songs apart from one.
my dad keeps telling me to llisten to it but i havnt got the album and i have a whole list of recomendations from one of my friends so i will add it on to it (at the top). i've been listening to estranged by G N' R a lot recently and i am finding the lyrics quite true, so is there a song you can relate to? and as it's coming up to christmas, what's your favourite christmas song? mine's war is over (happy Xmas) by john lennon and yoko ono
You should have a listen to the album on youtube! I don't really listen to Christmas songs, i@m a grinch! GnR were a great band.
i will have a listen to that album, im a bit grinchy sometimes especially when my dad puts classical christmas carols on! GnR were one of the best bands ever! do you like Queen?
Winery dogs. Moonkings. WET. Inglorious. Rated X. Plus deep purple which I grew up with.
Just thought I'd throw this into the discussions...especially as I doubt whether the majority of you will really know what rockabilly - Rock n roll is and what the difference between the two is.
Basically, rockabilly is the fore runner of Rock n' roll and has a more country/hillbilly bias. It was originally a fiercly burning bright star from about 1954 through to early 1958, after which it more or less disappeared.
Rock n roll is more Blues based, and exploded onto the music scene, when Elvis first went to RCA, although 50's R n' B, had been going a lot longer.
some samples of Rockabilly stars; Ronnie Dawson, early Elvis (1954-56), Roy Hall, Gene vincent, Eddie cochran.
Rock n roll stars; chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats domino.
Oh and there were gals as well; Wanda Jackson, Janis Martin, Jo anne Campbell.
And, my band is looking for a lead/rythm guitarist who can help us rock the joint. Get in touch.
