Guitarist looking to get band experience

I am a guy in my mid 20s

Played the guitar since I was about 12 but have never been in a band so would like to find some people to play with so I can improve.

I would like to do gigs but without playing with other musicians it's hard for me to tell if I am ready for that or not.

Not fussy on the genre of music as long as there isn't any screaming or anything too wierd.

Let me know if you might be in a similar situation or just fancy someone to play music with.
