Guitarist wanted for a party band

New covers band based near Solihull/Cov/South Warks seeks a funky guitarist who can play lead too.

Any vox you can do would be great too as our singer is happy to share vocal duties and provide backing if you do lead. Bass, drums and female vox in place. We'll be playing funky, souly, disco, pop party tunes and looking to play in local-ish venues a up to 2-3 times a month eventually.

Some artists we are looking to cover are:

Aretha Franklin, Donna Summer,Patti Labelle, Luther Vandross, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Chic, We also would like to include sone more recent hits e.g. Happy, Mercy, American Boy. We are also open minded with regards to suggestions on what's in the set so we may well incorporate songs from other genres that go well with this list and keep a party going!

We are all very experienced and easy going musicians in our 30s -40s and looking to have a lot of fun with this rather than it being solely a money making project - although we do expect to get paid a little for our efforts! Please note that although we will play and perform to a very high /professional standard we won't actively be seeking gigs on the function/corporate circuit although we'll happily play the the odd wedding or private party that comes our way.

We plan on having a few rehearsals near Solihull/Coventry to get going but after that our focus will be on gigging.

We have a couple of gigs already booked later in the year and will be looking at getting more once the line up is complete.
