Guitarist/keyboard player looking to join an ensemble

Hello,

My name is George, I am a guitarist and piano/Keyboard player looking to join a organised band within Sutton Coldfield or Birmingham.
After achieving my degree in Music, I took a year out to study towards getting onto my music teacher training course at Birmingham City University.
Now that I have started the course, I am interested to cover, create/record and perform music with other dedicated musicians whilst on my studies this September onwards.

Genres include a wide range: Pop, Rock, Blues, Country, Metal, R&B, Soul, Ska and Reggae - I don't mind pop or chart music, but working 'constantly' on playing the same three chord on loop or covering chart music will loose my interest.
(Only if it's constantly)
When writing, I tend to use a lot of Progressive influences with chords, making dreamy and exotic sounds when playing in a band or duo acoustic environment. (E.g. Suspended and extension chords)

I have a list of equipment that I would like to use again:
PA with a microphones and stands for local gigs and open mic nights.
Acoustic and electric guitars.
Guitar valve amplifier.
Professional keybaord.
Mac Book Pro.
Recording software: Logic Pro X.
Sheet music software: Subelius.
Audio interface and MIDI keyboard for recording.

It would be great to cover and create music with musicians on a regular basis whilst on my studies - if it works out.
