New post progressive / art rock band looking for members

We're in the early stages of establishing a new band working primarily in the post progressive and art rock genres. Influences include:

Post prog: Steven Wilson, Anathema, Pineapple Thief, Riverside, A Formal Horse, King Crimson
Art rock / eighties: Talking Heads, Eno era U2, Level 42, Simple Minds, Tears For Fears, James, The Cure etc.

Our aim is to produce new song-oriented material, although it's possible that we might throw in a couple of covers initially when playing live.

We're currently working on songs as a three piece (singer / guitarist, lead guitar and bass). We have about 60 - 70 minutes of original music that's in a variety of states ranging from almost completed songs to fragments that need assembling and expanding on, so there's still plenty of scope to get involved in writing and arrangement.

We're distributed geographically but it's likely that we'll be writing and rehearsing in a space somewhere along the M3 corridor (Farnborough / Woking / Guildford / Basingstoke area) or possibly in Southampton depending which is most convenient for the majority. Ideally we're looking to start full band writing and rehearsal sessions sometime in mid to late September.

To move forward, we reckon we probably need:

- a drummer / percussionist
- a keyboard player who is ideally a pianist as well as a synth player.
- possibly a second vocalist to share both lead and harmony (we're thinking female but not locked into that idea).

Age no obstacle - we're all "mature" musicians who have been both recording and playing live in various bands for a number of years, but we're open to working with anyone of any age. The key criteria are enthusiasm, commitment and a broad interest in music across numerous genres.
