Vocalist/songwriter wanted for folk/indie band/duo

Hey there, my name is Zimmie and I'm looking for people who are passionate about music and songwriting like me, in and around Newcastle to get together and create some sweet sounds! I learned to play bass and guitar as a teenager and subsequently played in bands for a while. I have maintained my love for these instruments and play every day as a love/hobby. I have recently taken up songwriting again after a few years of minimal writing and I would love to ideally find a vocalist to help me bring these songs to life and perform them...god didn't bless me with the greatest voice unfortunately :( I would also love to find young musicians/music lovers who would like to form a band or just to jam and work on songs. I am from a very musical family and so love many kinds of music but my work is mainly folky, "singer-songwriter" Americana stuff with some 80's indie and delta blues sprinkled in. Some of my many favourite artists include Ryan Adams, Conor Oberst, the Beatles, Bowie, Neil Young, Delta Spirit, Laura Marling, the Smiths, Father John Misty, the strokes, Arctic Monkeys, the Cure etc etc but I am very open to any style or creative direction. It would be great to help fellow musicians with their music and I would be more than willing to lend my skills as a bass player or a collaborator...if you share a love of music/writing we will get along :) If you are interested in joining a band/musical act and are creative, enthusiastic and passionate please get in touch!
