Wanted: songwriter & musician for an original pop / soul

Hello there!

I'm looking to connect with a talented songwriter and instrumentalist who would love to build an original music project with a vocalist and develop a distinctive sound together.

Musically, I'm drawn to soulful, groove-driven pop with character, infectious melodies, rich harmonies and a little vintage soul magic. I love music that feels fresh and contemporary but still has that timeless, live-band energy.

I'm looking for someone who is a strong songwriter first and foremost, plays piano or guitar, and has the creativity and confidence to bring ideas to the table. Someone who can hear a voice, imagine a song around it and come to the collaboration with melodies, lyrics, chords and concepts we can develop together.

I'm a professional singer with a versatile, soulful voice, and I want to explore what I can do with original material written to suit my vocal style, range and personality. While songwriting isn't my strongest skill, I have opinions, ideas and a clear sense of the music I connect with. I want to be involved in shaping the songs, contributing creatively and developing them together, with someone who enjoys that collaborative process.

My influences range from contemporary soul and pop to funk, Motown and bands that bring real musicianship, groove and personality to their sound.

Ideally, you'll be:

A genuinely strong lyricist and melody writer.

A confident pianist or guitarist.

Passionate about pop, soul, funk and vintage-inspired sounds.

Excited to write original material around a vocalist and bring your own ideas to the table.

Someone who values creative chemistry, mutual respect and an ongoing musical partnership.

Bonus points if you can produce, arrange or develop demos into finished tracks.

I'm based in the Essex area and would love to find someone local enough to meet, write, experiment and make music together.
